jim fournier was born in michigan and began drawing at the early ageof four. a comic book collector in his teens,he was influenced by such artist as Dale keown, jim lee, ron lim and john byrne.

after graduating from high school, he continued to hone and refine his skills as an artist. upon picking up his first dungeons & dragons monster manual, he was struckby the rich detail andunique creatures. at that moment jim realizedthat fantasy illustration was his career of choice.

Now in his thirties he is happily married to his wonderful wife wendi and they areblessed with three fascinating and energetic boys. "my family is my inspiration and from whom
